About The Role:
The Associate Skills Coach will deliver high-quality teaching, assessment, and learner support on a short-term Customer Service programme. This is a sessional role, with delivery required for the duration of the course, with potential opportunities to deliver additional programmes.
You will work with adult learners (19+) to build confidence, develop employability skills, and support progression into work or further learning. This role mirrors the expectations of our core provision, including quality, learner experience, and compliance standards, as outlined in our main Skills Coach role.
Key Responsibilities:
Teaching & Learning:
- Deliver engaging Customer Service sessions aligned to programme outcomes.
- Adapt delivery to meet individual learner needs.
- Support both group delivery and 1:1 learner interventions.
- Embed employability, confidence, and workplace behaviours.
Assessment & Progress:
- Monitor learner progress throughout the course.
- Complete required assessment and evidence (where applicable).
- Ensure learners achieve intended outcomes within the short delivery window.
Learner Support & Inclusion:
- Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
- Support learners with barriers such as low confidence or prior disengagement.
- Promote attendance, engagement, and positive behaviours.
Compliance & Quality:
- Maintain registers and required documentation.
- Follow safeguarding, Prevent, and health & safety procedures.
- Deliver in line with funding and quality expectations.
What We’re Looking For:
Essential:
- Experience delivering adult learning or training.
- Experience delivering Customer Service or employability-based provision.
- Strong communication and engagement skills.
- Ability to manage short, intensive delivery programmes.
- Commitment to safeguarding and learner wellbeing.
Desirable:
- Teaching qualification (AET/PTLLS or equivalent).
- Assessing qualification (TAQA or equivalent).
- Experience working with adult learners with barriers.
