Are you an ambitious, organized, and enthusiastic individual looking to continue your journey in the professional world? Do you already have some office experience under your belt and are looking for a dynamic role where you aren't in the office every day?
We are currently seeking a motivated Apprentice Administrative Assistant who is ready to expand their CV. While you will help keep the office operations running smoothly with your strong organizational skills, this isn’t your average desk job. Because you hold a full UK driving licence, you'll also have the unique opportunity to hit the road and conduct important attendance visits, bridging the gap between the office operations and field activities.
This role offers the ideal blend of practical on-the-job experience and structured formal training, culminating in a nationally recognised Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship Standard.
What You'll Be Doing:
Working as a core part of our team, your daily responsibilities will include:
- General Office & Administrative Support: Assist with day-to-day administrative tasks, including managing incoming correspondence, handling phone enquiries, filing, photocopying, and maintaining accurate digital and physical filing systems.
- Field Attendance Visits: Utilize a full UK driving licence to regularly travel out for external attendance visits and field-based checks, acting as a professional representative of the organization while accurately logging and reporting visit outcomes.
- Data Entry & Document Management: Input, update, and maintain sensitive records, reports, and databases with high levels of accuracy, ensuring compliance with internal data protection guidelines.
- Meeting & Schedule Coordination: Help coordinate internal meetings, prepare basic meeting documentation, take meeting minutes when required and assist with diary management for team members.
- Communication & Liaison: Serve as a polite and efficient point of contact for internal teams and external stakeholders, passing along messages and coordinating logistics between the office and field operations.
- Ad-Hoc Project Support: Assist management and senior administrative staff with various ad-hoc projects, process improvements and operational tasks as your apprenticeship progresses.
Apprenticeship Training & Development:
Delivered in partnership with Total Training Provision, you will receive dedicated 1-to-1 mentoring, off-the-job training time, and guidance throughout your qualification:
- Qualification: Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship Standard.
- Duration: Typically 15–18 months (including End-Point Assessment).
- Delivery: Blended workplace coaching, online learning resources, and regular progress reviews.
- Progression: Real potential for permanent employment and career progression upon successful completion.
What We're Looking For:
- Skills: Strong written and verbal communication, solid IT literacy (Microsoft Office), and keen attention to detail.
- Attributes: Reliable, organised, eager to learn, and comfortable working both independently and in a team.
- Entry Requirements: GCSEs at grade 4/C or above in English and Maths (or equivalent/Functional Skills Level 2). Full UK Driving license and own transport.
Hours of work: Monday-Friday 07:30am-15:30pm.
Please note this is an in-person role based in Bury, UK. You must have full eligibility to work and live in the UK.
